Ocean-bound plastic refers to plastic waste that has been improperly disposed of on land, shores, waterways, and river areas, which poses a risk of polluting the ocean. Plastic waste is collected from these areas to prevent it from ending up in the ocean. The collected plastics are cleaned and refined via recycling process, then mixed with virgin plastic material.
